Julie’s wedding in Halifax

Summer is just flying by.  Rachel and I have been in different cities for the last 2 months so it was time to arrange a visit.  My friend Julie was getting married in Halifax so it seemed like a good time to fly to Halifax and then stop in Montreal on the way back.  My buddies Andrew and Stubbs from Alberta were coming for the wedding (and Montreal as well) so that was an added bonus.  At the time of booking the trip Sean was going to be in Halifax too (but he ended up moving to Toronto for a new job but flew back to Halifax for the wedding anyways).

Being out on the East coast we had to consume as much seafood as possible.  Day one we got this huge seafood platter.

Stubbs was pretty happy for the lobster and put on his “lobster face”

Friday we headed out to the wedding outside of Halifax. It was a pretty sweet location and a great day for a wedding.

The ceremony and supper had a big break in between so we headed down to Peggy’s Cove to waste a couple hours.

After Peggy’s Cove we went back to the wedding. The supper and dance turned out pretty good. The bride (I had to type bride 4 times before I finally typed ‘bride’ instead of ‘bridge’) and groom were ready to get the show on the road.

And that about wrapped up the wedding. We had another day in Halifax where we toured around the public gardens, the harbor, ate some more seafood, watched some eurocup, went to the casino, and went on a pirate cruise (except the only thing about it that was piratey was one guy was dressed up as a pirate).

You can see more of the wedding pictures and our shenanigans in Halifax on flickr as usual.
