I hate chocolate calcium pills
I know I know, you are probably wondering who would hate chocolate calcium pills? These things are ridiculous.
Rach has been pushing for “woman” vitamin pills since they have higher calcium content. I told her to take 2 normal vitamin pills and then I don’t have to buy 2 bottles of the stuff (she didn’t listen). Some how I managed to fend off the “woman” specific vitamin pills for the last couple years, but then, Christmas came around. Low and behold, chocolate calcium pills in the stocking.
For $20 at Costco you can buy 120 calcium pills. That’s over $0.15 per pill. That’s more than my lunch budget. I can’t believe these things cost so much. For a normal bottle of 500 calcium pills that any sane human would consume it costs a meer $5. I admit, the people behind these chocolate calcium pills are very smart. They know they can charge whatever price they want and wives will still make husbands buy them. I’m actually quite curious, at what price would these things cost too much to not buy? I bet they could go up to $1/ea.
PS. Dear makers of chocolate calcium pills, please don’t charge anymore. Also, I hate you.

You bitch now, but just think how happy you will be when I won’t be diagnosed with osteoporosis!

But he’s offered to buy you 500 straight cacium pills for $5. Combine that with the regular multi vitamin and he’ll be three times as happy.
One bottle of multi vitamin (Jeff happy)
Cheap calcium pills (Jeff happy)
Rachel is not diagnosed with osteoporosis (Jeff happy)
See, 3x as happy, how can you deny your man 3x the happiness

I almost bought these once. My mother in law has them at her house. When I looked at the price, I rationalized not buying them because they were both too expensive and have WAY too many calories. Also, the non-chocolate ones are gross and they sell them in a package together.

Dustin, you make a good point.
Melanie, I’m going to take that comment that you are on my side. When you say the non-chocolate ones are gross, that’s the problem. Why do we care what the vitamin taste like? Just swallow them and be done with it. Chewable vitamins are a scam.

I think the caramel ones taste good. So I am looking forward to both packages. And the fact that you considered buying them puts you on my side.
And Dustin, I don’t take the other vitamins because aside from the satisfaction in knowing that I will be whole in the future, I will am not getting anything out of it at this time. With the chocolate vitamins, I get Calcium and a chocolate fix and I am less whiny. That is 3x the happiness for me!

Jeff… worst part is that Rachel turned Tracy onto buying them while she was here… I don’t really care about the expense, but they take up so much freakin’ space. Especially since we don’t go to Costco that much, so she feels the need to stock up on them!

Ha. We could store them here if you pay for them.
