My last week

My last week was pretty crazy. I usually work 8 to 5 hours but we were putting out a new version of our software so I ended up working very odd hours. My sleep pattern was so messed up I had no idea what day of the week it was. By Friday we had all the problems at work sorted out and the new build running smoothly.

Rachel had her convocation on Wednesday morning which was actually a lot more interesting than mine. I tried to take a bunch of pictures at it but they all didn’t turn out (I guess from it being so dark and stuff). Rachel graduated with high honors in Biochemistry. I’m so proud *sniff*.

Friday night I went out with Andrew and Todd to Whiskey Jacks and then over to Earls to visit Rachel while she was working.

And finally my weekend consisted of catching up in Bleach and then a bunch of horrible episodes of Naruto with Devin. Sunday night I decided to hit up X-men 3 which was just OK. I hate going to theaters so much. Only 2 more big movies I want to see this summer, Superman Returns and the new Pirates of the Caribbean.

3 weeks to my wedding.

I need this shirt

I totally need one of these shirts. I can’t seem to find where I can actually order one online. I might have to make my own. Note, I have no idea who the guy in the picture is.

The long weekend

Rach and I went up to Waskesiu for the weekend. We stopped in Prince Albert on the way up to watch The Da Vinci Code which is a lot better than the reviews say it is. Critics review on Rotten Tomatoes is 22% and the users review percentage is 73%. That’s quite a big discrepancy. If you liked the book then you will probably like the movie. If you haven’t read the book you will probably like the movie. We weren’t too pleased with the PA theater this time, someone slashed the bottom of the screen a bunch, there were a bunch of kids like 10 years old at the movie who were running up and down the stairs and giggling all through the move (we ended up moving to a different spot in the theater since they were so annoying), and then at the climax of the movie some 16 year old girls have their cell phone ring which caused them to giggle worse then the little kids. Rach was almost as mad as me about the whole thing, this just brings me one step closer to not having to go to the theater ever again.

Saturday and Sunday we were up at Waskesiu but the weather was pretty horrible so we just sat around the cabin most of the time. We went for a short hike on the Waskesiu River, I finally finished State of Fear, finished Book 2 of The Chronicles of Narnia and started on Book 3. Sometimes I like really short books so I don’t loseWeight Exercise interest in them.

Monday we finally got some awesome weather (30′C) and stopped in at Warren‘s cabin at Emma Lake on the way home. We went for a pretty short bike ride, played a boardgame called Citadels and then headed home after that. Why is it that on a long weekend you always get the best weather on the last day?

I have white hair

On the way home from Waskesiu this weekend Rachel noticed some vile matter on my head. Yes, white hair. Apparently I have quite a few strands of nice bright white hair. I guess I rather have white hair then no hair at all.

Boston Pizza vs Almonds vs Cashews

I have a weakness to some foods. Almonds and cashews are two things that I just can’t stop eating. The thing is both of them make me quite ill. Whatever they do to me it happens fast. You would think I would stop eating them but I’ll end up buying a big bag of them from Costco and then suffer for 2 weeks. Then there is Boston Pizza. Man do I love their pizza, but whenever I eat it I get sick. I’ve avoided Boston Pizza for months and months but for some reason today I went with Dev. Boston Pizza + Almonds + Cashews = not a good time in my belly. Please don’t let me eat this stuff anymore. They should make almonds and cashews illegal so that I can’t buy them so easily. Damn you Costco.
